Sault Ste. Marie’s new splash pad gives kids a place to stay cool

The City of Sault Ste. Marie invested $625,000 from the CCBF to build a new splash pad in the City’s west end. Located in Manzo Park, the splash pad will serve a neighbourhood with a large population of kids under 14.

Manzo Park is already host to a local pool, washrooms and other amenities. The City was able to use the Park’s existing infrastructure to support the construction of the new splash pad. In addition to the main water feature, the splash pad area will include picnic tables, changerooms, paved walkways and ample seating. The project is expected to be completed by summer 2024.

The new splash pad will give kids more options for outdoor recreation, and a surefire way to beat the summer heat.
